Position Summary

As Commercial Banking VP - Reporting and Analytics Manager, this position will be responsible for establishing and advancing the reporting and analytics process for Commercial Banking business lines, primarily Sponsor & Specialty Finance and Regional Middle MArket, reprsenting nearly $6 billion C&I Loan Portfolio. 

Reporting & Analytics:

 

  • In collaboration with senior management business line leaders, establish a standard framework for robust management reporting; create and generate relevant reports and analysis for business line leaders.
  • Help design and implement an automated reporting process that will provide timely financial and credit analytics on the portfolio and LOBs.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Risk Management, IT, Marketing, Enterprise Analytics, and other internal partners to establish a robust management reporting capability for the Sponsor & Specialty and Regional Middle Market business units.
  • Develop and provide complex reporting, analysis, and assessments at both the functional or enterprise level.
  • Define user requirements and transform business needs into actionable requirements and functionality; work with cross-functional teams to understand data gaps and work to close them.
  • Establish inventory of key data management activities within Commercial Banking; develop practices to ensure data integrity and strong data governance.
  • Using Salesforce functionality (and other necessary tools), collect, summarize and analyze CRM data to build and provide reports / dashboards that are meaningful to driving business decisions.
  • Successfully execute reporting and analytics. Analyze data to make proactive recommendations/ solutions to drive and enhance department performance.
  • Consult with functional stakeholders to identify short- and long-term problems and challenges that data and analysis can help solution.
  • Clearly define analytic project deliverables, timelines and dependencies across multiple, cross-functional partners.
  • Oversee Salesforce strategy for Commercial Banking and influence modifications in Salesforce to align with business needs; understand new Salesforce features and functionality, providing recommendations for process improvements when warranted.
  • Manage the generation of presentations to report on the portfolio and groups.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent work experience. 
  • 7-10 years' experience in banking or finance. Ideal candidate would have direct experience in a portfolio management function at a commercial bank
  • Ability to manage, integrate and analyze diverse set of structured and unstructured data across diverse/disparate data sources
  • Analysis, mapping and documentation of data and complex business processes
  • Develop and provide complex reporting, analysis, and assessments at both the functional or enterprise level.
  • Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, distribution etc.)
  • Ability to learn and use various systems and software tools to run reports, manipulate data, and provide thoughtful analysis. Optimal candidate will have prior administrative knowledge/ experience with Salesforce or other like-system
  • Must be proficient with technology tools including MS Office, databases and reporting tools, including Tableau.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high degree of autonomy.
